The ground is broken and the new playground for kids at Goodland Montessori School in Racine, Wis., are almost ready to be played on.
The playground design process entailed many challenges and isn’t quite completed yet, but for Llacer Lopez and her classmates, it was an enlightening experience.
A group of students at Case High School in Racine are using their engineering skills to build a new playground for a nearby elementary school. Kate Buchholz teaches engineering at the high school and joined CBS 58 Monday, March 7, along with one of her students, Matilde Llacer Lopez, to tell us about the project.
